This is Milo, who was my most favorite rat buddy. He got an injury from a fight with Ira Glass and my husband, who loves me and will grant any wish of mine that he can, paid 300 dollars for the stitches and vet services. Milo lived another year-and-half after that. The third picture is Milo after his stitches. EVERYONE at the animal hospital loved him, even the vet tech who said he did not like rats. He said Milo was the exception. Sadly, rats only have a 2 1/2-3 year life span. As much as we love them they leave us too soon. They have so much personality. I was so sad when Milo died. He died in my daughter’s arms.
